JAMMU: National General Secretary of Bharatiya Janata Party, Tarun Chugh has hailed the Prime Minister Narendra Modi led government’s decision to slash cooking gas price by Rs 200 per cylinder, saying it is a gift from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to women on Raksha Bandhan.
Talking to the media, Tarun Chugh said that the festival of Raksha Bandhan is about increasing happiness within the family and this reduction will help provide more comfort to sisters and mothers in making their life easier.
“The Modi government is concerned about every section of the country, and this big cut in gas prices will especially benefit the middle class and the sisters,” Chugh said.
Chugh added that with this decision, the total subsidy of the gas cylinder received under the Ujjwala scheme will now be Rs 400 and this will give relief to the public from the rising inflation due to the changing global scenario. Along with this, Chugh said, the cabinet has also approved 75 lakh new Ujjwala connections, first of which poor and needy mothers will get freedom from the curse of smoke.
“Modi government is committed to the welfare of every section and it is clearly visible from the relief in gas prices for 10 crore families that the Central Government is concerned about the kitchen of the general public,” Chugh said adding that in today’s time, the economy of big countries has been affected by inflation in the whole world, and due to the strong and far-sighted leadership of Prime Minister Modi, inflation has also been controlled and the general public has been given relief in basic commodities.
