Modi Govt’s focus on industrialisation for development in J&K: Chugh
STATE TIMES NEWS
SRINAGAR: BJP National General Secretary & J&K Prabhari, Tarun Chugh on Monday said, in opposing the abrogation of Article 370 some political parties have once again chosen to be on the wrong side of history.
Tarun Chugh said that Modi Government’s special focus right now is on industrialization.
He was addressing a public meeting in favour of the BJP candidate for DDC elections in Srinagar.
Chugh said, “Jammu-Kashmir is blessed with immense natural resources but lacks the avenues to exploit those. Modi Government intends to bring industries to Jammu-Kashmir by getting the investments so that employment avenues are generated for the youth. Modi Government is bringing industries to Kashmir by getting investments so that the youth get jobs. Our government has always been funding the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir but the money would go into the pockets few people and never reach general public at large.”
Now, the BJP Government, he added, will ensure corruption-free governance in the Union Territory.
A loan assistance of 11024.47 crore has been approved for Jammu & Kashmir under the Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan (liquidity infusion scheme in DISCOMs.) and this will enable J&K to clear its outstanding payments under Power purchases made by it, he said.
Tarun said that the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi will rid Jammu and Kashmir of dynasty and corruption.
He said that the Union territory has been moving forward on the path of inclusive development. After several decades, the people of Jammu and Kashmir have become an equal partner in transparent democratic and development processes.
