JAMMU: To promote talent in kids and to provide stage to the young artists of Jammu, Nirvana Academy and Dance Revolution Academy on Tuesday organised kids dance and modelling programme ‘Children Winter Carnival 2014’ at auditorium GCW Gandhi Nagar Jammu.
Priya Dutta HoD Khatak, Fine Arts College was the Chief Guest on the occasion while Vikrant Dogra Vice Chairman FIBDO, Darbari Lal Bank Manager and Bachan Lal was the Guest of Honour.
The event was supported by Surya milk, JMU Plus social networking partner and Trikuta Digital Studio Jammu.
More than 150 participants from different parts of Jammu took part in the programme. Participants took part in different categories of dance and modelling competition. Shashi Gupta renowned dance choreographer of the State, Deepak Sharma and Priya Sharma classical dancer adjudged the talent programme.
Programme commenced with the welcome speech of Hitesh Badyal President Nirvana Academy followed by Dogri regional dance performance by girls of DRA group and kids modelling competition. Solo, duet and group dances were also presented on the occasion. Participants from Trikuta Deep High School, Banyan International School, Harman Dance Institute, X-unit Dance Institute, JD Public School and Siras High School took part in the competition. Show was conceived, choreographed and directed by young duo of Sanjeev Mangotra and Anu Bhardwaj.
Priya Dutta while speaking on occasion said that dance is a vital source of entertainment as well as platform to put all generation artists at one platform. She also congratulated Sanjeev and Anu for providing platform to the budding artists of Jammu. Gurvinder Kour, Kashish Thakyal and Bhavana prominent choreographers of Jammu were also awarded on the occasion. Navaldeep Kour hosted the programme.
Prominent among the others present were Vikas Dogra Vice President Prayas, Vikul Gupta, Paramjeet kour, Neeraj Sharma Vice President NA, Meenakshi Sharma General Secretary NA and Nishant Vaid.
