Model Academy holds workshop on value education

JAMMU: As part of value based education curriculum, Model Academy, the prestigious school of MIER, on Saturday conducted a workshop for the students of the Primary Wing on the theme ‘I Love My Body, I Respect It’.

The main objective of the workshop was to build awareness and sensitivity of students towards sexual abuse and also to identify the sources of help in such matters.

A presentation in this regard was given by Sunita Gupta, teacher of the primary wing who explained in detail the difference between good touch and bad touch. She emphasised that these instances can happen in school or even at home and also it was important that students should report the matter without hesitation to parents and teachers.

Rupa Gupta, Management Representative, Usha Gadoo, Officiating Principal, Manjari Seghal and Jasleen Mohial, Manager Academics and Manju Vali convenor of the Co-Curricular Committee attended the programme.

Rupa Gupta impressed upon the students that it was important of us to take care of our body and discussed the ways in which we can take care of it.
