MLA starts development works

JAMMU: Continuing the spree of development in Jammu West, BJP MLA Sat Sharma started the work of improvement of deep drains at Sector Number 4, Bhagwati Nagar area in Ward Number 14. Accompanied by UEED officials, JMC officials, PWD (R&B) officials, local BJP leaders and local residents of the area, Sharma started the works in the area in the presence of scores of people.
The work will be done under the supervision of UEED Department and will be completed at an estimated cost of around Rs 3.50 lakh.
On the demand of local residents of the area, Sharma also started the works for four speed breakers in Bhagwati Nagar, which was a dire need that many vehicles approaching from the area did not bother about the speed of their vehicles and it was necessary to build speed breakers.
Addressing the gathering, Sat Sharma assured the public that the works for other lanes and drains in the area will soon be taken up by the concerned departments so that people might not face any problems.
Sharma also instructed the PWD (R&B) officials to install a fence in the centre of the road above the Nullah, which was earlier causing disruption for public as many times lives of people were at risk when they had to pass through that road and caused accidents.
