JAMMU: Member Legislative Assembly (MLA), Rajesh Gupta has distinguished himself from other legislatures in Jammu and Kashmir by extending whole hearted support in building renewed infrastructure for sports.
This young city leader has provided grants, out of his Constituency Development Fund, for raising sports infrastructure at different stadiums. After helping J&K State Sports Council to get basketball arena for MA Stadium, Rajesh Gupta sanctioned Rs 12 lakh to meet the long pending demand of a borewell at only Swimming Pool in Jammu.
“We had approached the MLA to highlight the problem and he was kind enough to sanction all the funds required for a borewell at the Swimming Pool. He (MLA) has also initiated a number of works to rejuvenate the Mini Stadium, Parade,” on being contacted said Manager Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, Satish Gupta. Earlier, the sanction letter for borewell was handed over to Joint Secretary, J&K State Sports Council, Shiv Kumar Sharma by the MLA with clear instructions to complete the project as early as possible.
