AKHNOOR: Continuing with his efforts towards rural development and sanitation under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, MLA Akhnoor Rajiv Sharma on Wednesday distributed cheques to the residents of remote villages of Tacharwan Panchayat of Mera Mandrian, Akhnoor.
The MLA handed over 139 cheques amounting Rs 16.68 Lakh to the beneficiaries. Addressing the villagers, he urged them to avail the benefits of various schemes launched by the Prime Minister and the State Government for the overall development in the rural areas. Prominent among those present on the occasion include BDO Mera Mandrian Ranjeet Singh Tara, State Publicity Secretary Suresh Sharma, Mandal Pardhan Ram Lal Sharma, Sarpanch Milkhi Ram, Tirlochan Dutt, Sansar Singh, Permanand, Bharat Bhushan Gupta, Reeta Verma ( President Mahila Morcha) and Sardar Singh Pawar.
