Mission Amrit Sarovar; Govt constitutes District Committees for effective implementation, coordination

JAMMU: The Government on Monday constituted District level Committee(s) for effective implementation and coordination of the Mission Amrit Sarovar.
“Sanction is accorded to the constitution of District Level Committee(s), for effective implementation and coordination of the Mission Amrit Sarovar in the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir,” reads an order issued by Manoj Kumar Dwivedi, Principal Secretary, General Administration Department.
As per order, the committees will be headed by Deputy Commissioner (concerned) as Chairman while Assistant Commissioner, Development as Member Secretary and Assistant Commissioner, Revenue; Divisional Forest Officer; Superintending Engineer /Executive Engineer, Jal Shakti; Executive Engineer, RDD; and any other member as may be co-opted by the Committee will be its Members.
“The committee shall finalize the Amrit Sarovar sites, Implement the Mission strictly as per guidelines and its time bound completion, prepare of Convergence Plan vis-a-vis Amrit Sarovar and Detailed Project Report (DPR).” the order stated and added, “The committee shall ensure coordination among district level line Departments and nomination of a Panchayat level Officer for each Amrit Sarovar Site.”
