Mir expresses concern over missing leader

KATHUA: President JKPCC Ghulam Ahmed Mir accompanied by Senior Congress leaders visited the residence of S. Manohar Singh veteran Congress leader at Kathua on Thursday and met the family members of the leader who is missing for the last over one week.
Mir enquired from the family members about the circumstances leading to disappearance of Senior Congress leader and the efforts to trace him by the police. He assured the family that once he comes back he will be given suitable post in the party. He said that our whole hearted efforts are first to trace him out and assured that the party will extend all sorts of help to the family.
He was accompanied by former Minister Rigzin Jora, General Secretary PCC and former Minister Dr. M. L Sharma, Former MLC and President DCC Kathua Subash Gupta, Co-Treasurer PCC Rajnish Sharma, General Secretaries PCC Thakur Manmohan Singh and Sdr. Manjit Singh; former MLA Girdhari Lal Chalotra, former MLA Prakash Sharma-President DCC Samba, Naresh Sharma, Pankaj Dogra, Narinder Khajuria, Rattan Chand, Sushil Gupta, Advt. Pankaj Sharma and other senior leaders of the party.
PCC Chief expressed concern over the failure of police to trace out the whereabouts of the missing leader and asked the higher authorities to redouble their efforts in this regard.
Mir in response to a question from media replied that Chief Minister who remained in Kathua for four hours did not meet the people nor the media. Mir alleged that Chief Minister remains in air and gives no importance to public feelings because he spent two hours in Chenab Textile Mill in AC room.
