Mir asks Govt to come clear on loan restructuring

SRINAGAR: Asking State Government to come clear about the restructuring of bank loans, JKPCC Chief, G.A Mir on Sunday demanded that the beneficiaries under the scheme should be identified.
PCC Chief said, “Government should come clear as who are the people who will be benefited from the bank loan restructuring. Who will be benefited from the bank loan restructuring is to be seen. In a way they (government) wants to waive off the loans of some big business houses under the garb of restructuring.” The PCC Chief said they would welcome the restructuring of bank loans of common people who have availed small loans under Kisan Credit Card and other schemes are brought under the scheme.
“Artisans, transporters, small businessmen, transporters, people’s associated with agricultural activities, tourism and daily wagers have been the worst affected due to the last five-months of unrest in Kashmir. If these people are given a relief under bank loans, it is a welcome step,” he said.
