RAMBAN: A minor among 10 persons got injured in an accident near Nashri area of Distt Ramban on Batote-Ramban National Highway.
According to reports, the driver of a Tavera (JK14B-1871 ) which was on its way to Srinagar from Jammu ,on reaching Nashri area 6 Km from Batote on Batote-Ramban NH lost control over the vehicle as a result it fell into 40 feet deep gorge while negotiating sharp curve resulting in a minor among 10 persons getting injured while driver fled from the spot.
After receiving the information, volunteers of National Human Rights and police rescued all the injured from the gorge and shifted them to Emergency Hospital Batote where their condition is said to be out of danger.
The injured have been identified as Surja wife of Dhani Ram, Dhani Ram son of Dharmu , Sonu son of Kasturi Lal , Kamli wife of Modi Ram , Geeli wife of Bitu , Soni Devi wife of Geeli Ram , Jeelan(minor) (6)daughter of Geeli Ram all residents of Pali Chatarpur Madhya Pradesh , Shiv Kumar son of Omparkash , Ravinder Kumar son of Gharu Ram and Kasturi son of Dharmu all resident of Kangra Madhya Pradesh. According to police, driver of the vehicle escaped from the spot after the mishap. A case has been registered in this regard.
