MHAC Nagbani wins U-19 football

JAMMU: With the hat-trick of Kanav, MHAC Nagbani School defeated Oriental Academy Jammu by 3-0 in the final of First Open under-19 football competition, organised by Jammu and Kashmir Mini Football Association in collaboration with Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu, here on Saturday.
In all 20 teams participated in the competition.
Second runners-up trophy was bagged by DBN Amarvilla.
Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, Prof. Dhian S. Bhau was the Chief Guest and Romesh Sharma was the Guests of Honour in the prize distribution ceremony.
Other dignitaries present were P.D Singh, Jai Bharat, Gagan and Dr. Sonam Angchok.
Hony. General Secretary of the Association, Dr. Brij Baloria welcomed the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour and highlighted the total scenario of the event.
Prof. Dhian S. Bhau distributed the prizes, trophies and cash prize to the winner, runners-up and third place holders. He appreciated the efforts of the association in channelising the energies of the young generation towards the right path so that they can they can contribute to the uplift of the sports in the State.
