JAMMU: The MHAC Nagbani shall be playing against KC Public School in the final of under-14 boys in the inter-school (boys) football tournament of Jammu district, organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) at GGM Science College ground, here on Friday.
Earlier, in the first semifinal, MHAC Nagbani defeated Heritage School 2-1. Manjit Singh scored both the goals. In other semifinal, KB Public outplayed KC Public School 3-0. Saqleen netted all the three goals for the winning team.
Meanwhile, in under-17 category, Heritage School, BSF School Paloura and MHAC Nagbani won their respective matches to move into the next round of the competition.
While Heritage outplayed Maharishi Vidhya Mandir 3-2 via tie breaker, BSF Paloura trounced Army Public School (APS) Miran Sahib by a solitary goal. The only goal for BSF was scored by Vinay.
In another scheduled match, MHAC Nagbani blanked DTM Convent School Bishnah 4-0. Keshav netted two goals while Rahul and Ritvik Uppal added one each.
Today’s matches were officiated by the technical panel comprising Ajay Kumar, Bharat Bhushan, Rohit, Varinder, Gurbachan Singh, Amolak Singh, Mahadev, Jyot and Ravinder Singh.
