MENDHAR: The people of Mendhar gave a Bandh call against the killings in Valley and accordingly the whole market was closed.
All schools, colleges and banks were closed. Public transport also remained off the roads.
While addressing the people Moulvi Sultan of Jama Masjid Mendhar strongly condemned the killings in Kashmir.
He targeted the separatist leaders and held them responsible for creating unrest in which number of lives has been lost.
He specifically pointed out that such leaders have shifted their families out of the valley and the children of the common people are provoked to suffer in violence.
Moulvi appealed to the State and Central Governments to take this issue seriously so that the peace and calm returns to the valley.
