Mehbooba’s tirade against BJP Govt disturbing: Kavinder
‘Anti-Hindu tweets originating from abroad trying to make fissures in society’
STATE TIMES NEWS
JAMMU: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta on Thursday castigated PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti over her spiteful remarks against the BJP government in connection with Amarnathji Yatra.
In a rejoinder to Mehbooba’s statements over politicizing Amarnathji Yatra, the senior BJP functionary said that PDP leader’s rants against the government are disturbing and it is time for the administration to take cognizance of the matter and stop her from polluting the atmosphere by spreading concocted and malicious statements against the BJP Government to sway the people once again to her anti-India stances.
Kavinder said that despite being part of a mainstream political party, Mehbooba is using acerbic tone to mislead the people in Kashmir and trying to steer them once again towards separatism through her harangue to alienate them by spitting venom against the government over baseless stories. He said that the PDP leader is playing in the hands of forces inimical to peace in the UT of J&K and having links with their mentors sitting across the borders. He said that by highlighting minor issues, Mehbooba is spreading false narratives against the government of the country which is unacceptable and should be stopped as soon as possible.
The former Deputy Chief Minister criticized Mehbooba Mufti for raising questions on the belief of devotees of Baba Amarnathji. He said that in 2008 also the Kashmir-based politicians raised irrelevant issues which ultimately took the shape of Amarnath land agitation. He said, contrary to Mehbooba’s claims, the Valley is booming with visitors as hotels, lodges and houseboats are fully packed and people are making profits in Kashmir. He said that the prosperity of Kashmir doesn’t suits PDP chief and that is the reason she is indulging in mudslinging and is decrying the government. He said that the governments at the Centre and J&K administration are on toes to ensure safe Yatra this year and that is the point of contention for the PDP leader, who has become irrelevant in the political arena in Kashmir.
Meanwhile, Kavinder also raised the issue of some foreign countries trying to defame Hindus in the country through anti-Hindu diatribe using social media especially Twitter.
Citing a report of Rutgers University, Kavinder said thousands of social media messages originating from foreign lands are being shared in social media to create anti-Hindu narrative in the sub-continent to divide the society and project Hindu religion in bad light.
It is pertinent to mention that researchers at the Rutgers NC Lab used artificial intelligence to better understand the development of a disguised and coded language pattern shared on social networks. According to their analysis of 1 million tweets, Iranian trolls disseminated anti-Hindu stereotypes to fuel division as part of an influence campaign to accuse Hindus of perpetrating genocide against minorities in India.
Kavinder said that the government will take cognizance of the matter but till that time people of the country should remain cautious of the forces hell bent to disrupt peace and create fissure between different communities.
