Mehbooba promises to develop Jammu as heritage city

JAMMU: President of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Mehbooba Mufti on Wednesday promised to formulate a comprehensive plan for the over-all development of Jammu city. She also assured to develop Jammu city as heritage tourist centre of the country.
Addressing series of public meetings in support of party candidate Bharat Choudhary for Jammu East Assembly segment at Gujjar Nagar, Talab Khatikan and Chand Nagar areas, Mehbooba said that her party in its manifesto has already promised to develop Jammu city. She reminded the people that during the regime of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed a comprehensive policy was formulated for the development and beautification of Jammu city.
She flayed the State Government for its failure to provide basic amenities to the people of Jammu city. She said that during that last six years Omar Abdullah led regime has done nothing to ameliorate lot of the people.
Mehbooba pointed out that said that civic conditions in the city were deteriorated during the last six years and residents of the city were struggling to get basic amenities like potable water.
PDP president further said that in the last assembly election, both National Conference and Congress had made a number of promises with the people but these promises remained only on papers. She said that except befooling the people nothing has been done during the last six years.
Bharat Choudhary assured the people that he would work for the welfare of the people. He said that he has already formulated a comprehensive plan for the growth and development of the city.
