Mega public outreach programme held across Block Dansal under Back to Village

JAMMU: People across Block Dansal of district Jammu accorded a rousing reception to the visiting officers deputed for panchayats under the ambitious Back to Village programme (Phase 4).
As many as 15 senior officers visited Panchayats including Sudershan Kumar, Director, Skill Development, J&K to Panchayat Halqa Churta, Rakesh Kumar Srangal, Managing Director, J&K Road Transport Corporation visited to Panchayat Halga Dansal, Satvir Kour Sudan, Director General, Economics & Statistics, J&K to Panchayat Jajjar Kotli to conduct two day long programme.
The Visiting Officers, along with the front-line workers of the line departments interacted with PRI members & locals in 15 panchayats of Block Dansal. Besides, Dhruv Gupta, Tehsildar Dansal, Vijay Kumar Sharma, BDO Dansal and other Block Level Officers also remained present.
During the visit Sudershan Kumar, Director, Skill Development, J&K laid the foundation stone of the Community Sanitary Complex at Ward No 6 of Saranjali village near Kali Mata Temple and also inaugurated several works executed under PRI CAPEX budget and other schemes. During the visit, Rakesh Kumar Srangal, Managing Director, J&K Road Transport Corporation, inaugurated daily Bus service of RTC from Jammu to Kishenpur. Specials Camps were organised to provide support to specially-abled, senior citizens, distribution of certificates like income certificate, Ayushman Bharat Golden Cards, Land passbook etc in each Panchayat Ghar, informed the BDO Dansal. The Visiting officers, during their visit, also participated in sports activities, talent hunt programmes, cultural events, youth engagement activities, Gandhi Katha and other activities.
They also inspected the development works including Amrit Sarovars, conducted inspection of CSC Centres and generated awareness about Online Schemes like BEAMS, Jan Bhagidari, Aapki Zameen Aapki Nigrani, Digital J&K etc
The Government has laid special focus on promotion of self employment activities and directed to identify 15 youth per Panchayat to be enrolled under different self employment schemes, added the visiting officers.
Later, the visiting officers also interacted with senior citizens, retired employees, Ex servicemen and Youths.
