Medical camp organised to mark Army Medical Corps Day

BHADARWAH: To commemorate 250 years of Army Medical Corps, a Medical Outreach Camp for the veterans and their dependents was organised by Sohanda Rashtriya Rifles Battalion of Sui-Guwadi Rashtriya Rifles Sector under the aegis of Counter Insurgency Force (Delta).
The camp was inaugurated by Brig S.P.S Parihar, Commander 4 Sect RR at Guwari. The aim of this camp was to deliver comprehensive medical services at the door steps of the medically less privileged clientele of veterans and their dependents in remote and far flung villages. A team of doctors including a Medical Specialist, a Surgeon, an Orthopedic Surgeon, Eye and ENT specialist, a Gynecologist, a Dentist and other General Medical Officers including Nursing Officers carried out the medical checkup as part of this endeavour.
The camp was attended by 1,950 persons from the area of Gundoh. The patients were given initial diagnosis and treatment for host of problems including Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension, Cardiac illnesses, Cervical/Beast Cancer, Oral Cancer, Obesity, Anemia, common Eye and ENT diseases and dentistry.
The local populace appreciated this endeavor of armed forces to help and address their genuine requirements and aspirations. This camp will go a long way in alleviating the health issues of local population including ex-servicemen of the area and further strengthen bonds of friendship between army and local population.
