JAMMU: The MBS Club Simbal Camp and Khalsa Club Gole Gujral won their respective matches to advance in the next round of the ongoing Baba Fateh Singh Memorial Hockey Tournament, organised by Hockey Jammu and Kashmir at K K Hakku Stadium, here on Saturday.
In the first match, MBS Club defeated Kathua Hockey Club Lachipura 3-2. Randeep Singh (10th), Navjot Singh (20th) and Gaganjot Singh (26th) were the scorers. For Kathua, Ramandeep Singh (22nd) and Rajesh Singh (38th) scored the goals.
In other scheduled game of the day, Khalsa Club outplayed Vijaypur Warriors 4-0. Balmeet Singh struck thrice in the 20th, 30th and 45th minute to make it a hat trick. Gurveer Singh netted the other goal in the 50th minute.
Today’s matches were officiated by the technical panel comprising Jagjeet Singh, Karanjeet Singh, J.S Reen, Iqbal Singh, Joginder Singh and Karanjeet Singh (junior).
FIXTURE: Hiranagar Club shall take on GNN Club at 1:30 PM while Deshmesh Club (Nanak Nagar) shall meet Zorawar Club Satwari at 3:00 PM tomorrow.
