JAMMU: The Mahant Bachittar Singh (MBS) Club Simbal Camp won title of open Hockey Tournament organised by JKAP 14th Battalion Simbal Camp at High School Simbal Camp, near here.
The Tournament was declared open by Anil Katoch, SSP Commandant JKAP-14th Battalion.
In the final match, MBS Hockey Club outplayed Young Star hockey Club by five goals to two (5-2). In the closing ceremony, the Chief Guest, Anil Katoch distributed trophies to the winner and runner-up teams.
He appreciated sportsmanship and said the aim of the tournament is to bridge the gap between police and public, besides promoting sports culture in the region. The function was attended by a large number of sports lovers and officers and officials of APC based battalion. former Sarpanch Rajinder Singh, Raja Singh, Ravinder Singh and Surjeet Singh also spoke on the occasion.
