Mayor starts development works

JAMMU: Mayor, Chander Mohan Gupta along with Youdhvir Singh Councilor of Ward No 73 conducted a tour in the various localities of Bhour Camp and its surrounding areas, met with the locals and started the construction work of ward office within the premises of Community Facilitation Centre near Government Primary Health Centre Bhour Camp, here.
Charanjeet Singh (retired SDM), Rasveer Singh, Gurdev Singh, Romesh Bhagat and other prominent inhabitants of the ward as well as Ashok Sharma, Assistant Executive Engineer, Prabjot Singh, Junior engineer, work Supervisor of Division -IV concerned contractor and other supervisory staff of Health section were also accompanied the Mayor.
Speaking on the occasion, Mayor told that this Ward No 73 has been newly included within the jurisdiction of Jammu Municipal Corporation in the year 2018 and number of adjoining villages who were earlier falls in rural area has now been inducted in JMC.
As such, this ward along with other newly included wards from 72 to 75 required more development infrastructures in all aspects and JMC is trying its best to provide additional funds to these newly created wards to fulfill the expectations of the citizens residing in these wards, he added.
He further said that an amount of Rs 5.33 lakh has been allotted for construction of sub office with all types of sitting arrangements and other allied facilities for the Councilor as well as sanitation staff of the concerned ward during hot and cold weather conditions.
Residents also putforth various other demands before the Mayor which includes construction/renovation of left over drains/lanes, deployment of additional SKCs in the ward, lifting of stray dogs/animals on routine basis, deployment of more vehicles/autos for lifting of garbage /filth on daily basis.
Mayor gave patience hearing to them & assured that all their issues will be resolved on priority basis.
