Mayor starts beautification works at Bhagwati Nagar, inaugurates macademisation in Ward No. 61

JAMMU: Anther mile stone for beautification of Jammu city by way of installation of unique planters on Bhagwati Nagar Bridge has been inaugurated by Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Chander Mohan Gupta along with Parmod Kapahi Councilor of Ward No. 14, Rakesh Kumar Gupta Superintending Engineer Sewerage and Drainage, Sunil Thussu, Joint Commissioner (Works), Ashwani Kumar, Executive Engineer Division No III concerned Assistant Executive Engineer, Junior Engineers of JMC, Raj Nath Bhat, Ravinder Tickoo, Parshotam Sharma, Vijay Sapru and Darshan Lal.
The concept for beautification of the 4th bridge was given by Rakesh Kumar Gupta, Superintending Engineer, UEED and his team.
The Mayor appreciated the efforts of engineering wing of JMC for conceiving this particular project and carrying forward other development projects under JMC and said that both side of the road from 4th Bridge will be beautified installing hanging flower plants upto base camp of Shri Amarnath Shrine board.
He also expressed that tenders for façade lights of Bagh-e- Bahu and Mubarak Mandi Heritage Complex and its surrounding localities have already been invited, including for Tawi bridges in city and will give fascinating look which will be admired by citizens and augment the tourism also.
He also ensured the gatherings that JMC is on working on rapid pace for bringing and implementation of more such projects to give a fillip to the city and shown his commitment of Clean Jammu Green Jammu.
Later Mayor along with Mohinder Kumar Councilor of Ward No 61 also conducted an extensive tour in the various localities of the ward and inaugurated the work of blacktopping and construction of drain at one of the lanes of the ongoing development work at Bakshi Enclave of the ward.
Rakesh Bhagat Junior Engineer along with his supervisory staff Prem Raj, Sanitation Officer, Harjeet Singh, Sanitary Inspector, Ved Parkash Sharma and other prominent inhabitants of the locality were also remained present there during the function.
