KUPWARA: Qalamabad police on Thursday arrested a Maulvi for raping a girl in in district Kupwara.
As per the details, a Molvi identified as Altaf hussain Malik son of Gh Mohiedin Malik resident of Hayen Trehgam was caught red handed by locals during mid night in a objectionable position.
The SHO Qalamabad Ab Ahad Jan while confirming the report, said police has registered a case FIR number 68/17 in this regard and has arrested the accused. The accused happens to be Imam of a Mosque and head of the Darul Uloom.
