BAJALTA: Chak Rakwala Leopards entered final of the ongoing Maruti Suzuki Nagrota Premier League Tournament, an initiative of MLA Devender Singh Rana.
In the semifinal played at Bajalta playfield in the Nagrota Assembly Constituency on Thursday, Chak Rakwala Leopards defeated Majheen Sidhra Stars by 31 runs.
Batting first after winning the toss, Chak Rakwala set a challengeable target of 178 for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs. Gourav played a brilliant inning of 44 runs followed by Madan, who added 24 runs to the total. In reply, Majheen Sidhra Stars managed to score 147 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 20 overs. Reyaz scored quick unbeaten 57 runs for Majheen Sidhra Stars.
Gourav was declared Man of the Match for his all round performance of 44 runs and three wickets.
The match was officiated by Saleem ur Rehman and Sadiq Hussain from J and K Youth Services and Sports.
The matches were played under the overall supervision of Faheem Tak, Vice President Take-1 Channel and Kuldeep Singh Jamwal, Member Organizing Committee.
Member BCCI, Ranjeet Kalra was also present on the occasion and witnessed the match.
The second semi-final will be played on 8th April, 2016 between Nagrota Young Stars Eagles and Kapotha Lions.
