Market checking squad realises Rs 10,500 as fine

BHADARWAH: As part of ongoing market monitoring during Ramadan, Bhadarwah Sub Divisional administration conducted surprise checks at largest commodity hubs Seri Bazaar market and several other kitchen markets of the town on Tuesday.
Executive Megistrate of Bhadarwah Sub Divisional Dr Amir Hussain, Tehsil Supply Officer (TSO) Nisar Sheikh, Food Security Officer (FSO) Bhadarwah Mohd Amin Kahn led the Mobile Court at Seri Bazaar market with the help of SHO Bhadarwah Anuroop Sharma, Bhadarwah Police and consumers. During the drive, the Mobile Court fined several vegetable vendors and grocery shop owners of Seri Bazaar and Takiya Chowk for violating municipal law, price manipulation ,encroaching foot paths and selling unhygienic food items especially meat, milk products and vegetables.
Executive Megistrate Dr Amir Hussain said that vegetable vendors, meat Shop owners and others were fined Rs 10,500 for violating laws. The inspection team also destroyed two quintal of rotten fruits and vegetables on the spot.
