NOWSHERA: Several Sarpanchs, Panchs and prominent leaders of different political parties joined Congress in a function at Nowshera, on Friday in presence of MLC Ravinder Sharma-Chief Spokesperson JKPCC who was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
Master Som Nath, the newly appointed Working President of DCC Rajouri also took over the assignment in which several prominent leaders especially SC and ST communities joined Congress Party under the leadership of Ravinder Sharma. Prominent among them are Masood Choudhary, Mian Khan (both Sarpanchs), Choudhary Latif-Niab Sarpanch, Molvi Ishaq Chdoudhary, Sub Maj (Retd) Om Prakash, Prithi Chand, Mohd. Ayub-Panch, S. Charan Singh-Ex-Sarpanch, Sub Sukh Dev Singh-Panch, Jai Ram-Panch, Jai Ram-Panch, Kishan Singh-Panch, Suresh Sahrma-Niab Sarpanch, Bala Ram-Niab Sarpanch, Naresh Sharma, Kamal Singh, Ch. Noor Hussian, Ghulam Nabi Khatana.
Speaking on the occasion Ravinder Sharma said that the Congress is only secular force in Jammu and Kashmir which will emerge as single largest party and will lead the next government. He lashed out at BJP for exploiting various emotional issues during elections and made false promises which can never be fulfilled. He held BJP responsible for maintaining the interest of Jammu region by secret understanding with the Kashmir based parties for its political gain and cautioned the people against such false propaganda of BJP in the ensuing Assembly elections in the State.
Ravinder Sharma referred numerous achievements of present NC-Congress Coalition Government and said that Congress always advocated genuine cause of all three regions and stood for justice and equitable development of all three regions of the State. He said that the Congress is committed for balance and equitable development of three regions and this is a reason many people are joining Congress Party for strengthening a secular force in the State.
Master Som Nath expressed gratitude to Congress High Command and PCC leadership for giving representation to downtrodden sections in the organisation. He promised to serve the party with full dedication.
Newly inducted leaders in their speeches expressed full faith on the policies, programmes and leadership of Congress party.
