Manohar listens to woes of people

BILLAWAR: Dr Manohar lal Sharma Senior Congress Leader, former Minister and General Secretary PCC conducted two days visit at different villages of Kandi Block and Billawar Block of Billawar constituency to attend various social and religious functions in which people of different walks of society apprised Dr Sharma about their problems and urgent needs to address their sufferings in day to day life.
The general public showed resentment in particular to law and order and in general to the steep rise in corruption in government offices. There is no body to take notice or to take any action to check corruption in even petty matters which is causing depression and harassment to the common masses of the area, they said and appealed to Dr Sharma to come forward and keep a check as such type of corruption was never seen in matters such as , revenue, state subjects , income certificates, death and birth certificates, SC , RBA and ST category certificates, copy of mutations Girdawari etc. They apprised about the apprehensive attitude of Police Department.
A deputation of nomads of different areas of district Kathua met Dr Sharma and apprised him about the conduct of Forest Department by illegally destroying their shelters and causing damage to their properties and crops and forced them to live in open . They said that they were even vacated from the allotted revenue lands by the Forest Department without adopting any procedure i.e., demarcation or verification of revenue documents nor any notice was given in this regard. Dr Sharma assured them to take the matter with higher authorities to address and settle their problem as early as possible.
