Manmohan Singh takes charge as JMC Comm

JAMMU: Manmohan Singh, KAS, earlier posted as Additional District Development Commissioner Kathua, on Saturday took over as the new Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC).
He was accorded warm welcome by the JMC officers and employees.
Interacting with the officers and officials, Manmohan took account of the projects and assignments currently being undertaken by JMC.
He said that JMC is an organization whose work is understated despite its significant role in smooth functioning of the city. He said that his main focus shall be on development and to make the city clean and green.
“Addressing the grievances of people related to lanes, drains, sanitation and street lights will be my other areas of priority”, he added. Earlier, he was accorded farewell by the District Administration Kathua in a function organised under the guidance of District Development Commissioner, Kathua Ramesh Kumar in which Additional Deputy Commissioner Dr. Bharat Bhushan, officers and Executive Engineers were present.
ADC Kathua Dr. Bharat Bhushan appreciated the services rendered by the outgoing ADDC.
Ramesh Kumar lauded the working of Dr. Manmohan Singh by saying that during his tenure ADDC performed the assigned duties efficiently. Later, Manmohan was presented a memento by the DDC and other officers.
