Mankotia among five file nominations

UDHAMPUR: Balwant Singh Mankotia, president Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party along with four other candidates filed their nominations for second phase of Assembly polls to be held on 2nd December, 2014.
Two time sitting MLA from Udhampur constituency, Mankotia was accompanied by large number of supporters on the way to office of Assistant Returning Officer here on Tuesday.
After filing nomination papers, Mankotia said that he would leave no stone unturned for the welfare of the people as he had been doing in his earlier two stints as MLA of the area.
“No government in the State could be formed without the participation of Panthers Party and I assure, once in the government, Udhampur would usher into a new era of development, progress and integrity at all levels”, said Mankotia adding that secular and pluralistic ethos of the party would be held on high esteem.
Patron JKNPP Prof. Bhim Singh also accompanied Mankotia.
Besides Mankotia, Ashok Gupta of Indian National Congress (INC), Soma as Independent candidate and Amit Kumar Modi as substitute candidate for INC filed their nomination papers from Udhampur Constituency and Dhani Ram Atri filed his nomination papers on JKNPP’s mandate from Chenani Constituency.
