Vijaypur: Former Minister and JKPCC General Secretary, Manjit Singh on Sunday accused RSS-BJP for adopting divisive politics in India where minorities and Dalits facing harassment.
In a statement, former Minister Manjit Singh said that the BJP and RSS have adopted a policy to suppress the weak sections of society like Scheduled Caste (SC) and minorities.
“The suppression in the State has increased since the day, BJP came to power. They have adopted policy of ‘Manu’ where Scheduled Caste and downtrodden section of society is not given importance and neglected,” he alleged.
He said that this policy has isolated an important part of our society and it should be ignored so that “We live as one in the society without any discrimination in the name of religion, caste or creed,” he added.
Condemning incidents in Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and Rajasthan where minority and Dalits allegedly facing harassment from the BJP, he said, people should unite against such forces who are bent to divide the society.
He also accused BJP of adopting anti-OBC policy and anti-reservation policy. Giving example, he said, the reservation quota should be given to the Scheduled Caste and other reserved categories and reservation of OBC in Jammu and Kashmir should be enhanced.
He also condemned un-parliamentary language used by some BJP leaders and remarks against the former UP CM and MP Mayawati.
