KATHUA: The Management School at Kathua Campus, JU on Monday organised an industrial visit for the students to Chenab Textile Mills, Kathua, a venture of Sutlej Textiles and Industries Ltd., promoted by K K Birla group. The students had an overall visit of the plant to have a firsthand practical experience of the industrial culture and the manufacturing process wherein they were guided and briefed by the experts from the respective sections.
Prof. Naresh Padha, Rector Kathua Campus in his message appreciated the efforts of the Department in organizing the visit and expressed his gratitude towards the Management of the Chenab Textile Mills to provide opportunity to the students to have a learning exposure of the corporate culture and production process
The visit was conducted under the overall supervision of Ramesh Sharma, DGM, Industrial Relations. Kanika,Welfare Officer, HR gave an account of the brief profile of the CTM through presentation. She was accompanied by Sandeep, Deputy Manager, IR and Himanchi from Department of IR.
Pankaj Khajuria, Lecturer and Placement Coordinator, MBA coordinated the overall Visit. All the faculty members of the MBA including Dr Jyoti Sharma, Vinay Kesar, Sarabjot Singh, Gourav Sharma and Anjally Gupta were also present during the visit.
