Man killed, 5 injured in car accident near Bhadarwah

Bhadarwah: One person was killed and five others were injured when the car in which they were travelling skidded off the road and rolled down into a deep gorge here on Monday, officials said.
According to police, a Hyundai i10 car (JK02N-7787) skidded off the slippery road and fell into a 100-feet deep gorge.
The family which was on its way to Bhadarwah after having a family outing at Padri meadow on Bhadarwah-Chamba road met with an accident near Bamlakhi village at 3.30 pm.
On getting information, police team along with locals immediately reached the spot and retrieved all the six persons including 3 teenagers from the damaged vehicle.
The victims were rushed to Sub District Hospital Bhadarwah, where doctors declared one of them as brought dead.
“The deceased has been identified as Arjun Singh (33), son of Faqir Singh , a resident of village Sharerna Bhalla tehsil,” said BMO Bhadarwah Dr Shakeel Ahmed Sumbria.
The injured are undergoing treatment at SDH Bhadarwah, their condition is stable and they are responding well to the treatment,” BMO added.
The injured have been identified as Naina Devi (43) wife Dev Raj, her two daughters Himani (15), Deepika (13) and her son Rahil Dev (17) , Sahil son of Rattan Lal all residents of Bhalla and Sahil (17) Son of Rattan Lal of Bhalla.
A case has been registered at Bhadarwah Police Station to establish the cause of the accident.
