KATRA: A man was arrested for stealing four mobile phones and some cash from inside the bag of a tourist at Mata Vaishno Devi shrine in Reasi district of Jammu, police said on Sunday.
As per details, on the complaint of person namely Narinder Bahuder Singh, son of Shiv Shankar Singh, resident of Jaunpur UP reported at Police Station Bhawan that he along with his family members reached Bhawan and decided to take bath at bathing Ghat. When he returned back and checked his bag, he found that some unknown person stolen 4 mobile phones and cash amounting Rs 2500. On this, FIR No.08/2023 under section 379 IPC was registered at Police Station Bhawan and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team of Police Station Bhawan were framed who after strenuous efforts apprehended the accused person namely Joginder Singh, son of Payar Singh, resident of Meer Panchari District Udhampur and also recovered stolen property. The teams were headed by SHO Bhawan Khyatimaan Khajuria.
