RAMNAGAR: Police on Tuesday arrested a man for illicit distillation and recovered 7 litres Desi liquor and around 95 litres Lahan from his house.
As per the details, based on a specific information, a team of Police Station Basantgarh led by Insp. Nissar Ahmed under the supervision of Jagdev Singh Slathia SDPO Ramnagar conducted a raid in the house of Jameet Raj at village Gandtop. During raid police recovered 7 litres illicit desi liquor and around 95 litres Lahan from his house. The recovered liquor has been seized and Lahan destroyed on the spot.
He was arrested and a case vide FIR No. 38/2017 under section 48 (E) Excise Act was registered against him at Police Station Basantgarh.
