POONCH: Special Mobile Magistrate Poonch Ahsan Malik on Wednesday awarded three years imprisonment to accused in sodomy case.
The accused person namely Mohd Bashir, son of Mohd Shafi, resident of village Kalai, Tehsil Haveli District Poonch was booked under FIR 77/2009 under section 377 RPC (Un-natural offence). During trial, the offence was established against the accused person and the Special Magistrate sentenced the accused to three years imprisonment and a fine of Rs. 5000. The mobile magistrate further ordered that In case of default in payment of fine the accused person shall further undergo rigorous imprisonment for six months. Shaheen Ahmed Khan Chief Prosecuting Officer represented for the State whereas Lal Hussain Mushtaq Advocate appeared for the accused.
