RAJOURI: Police on Thursday arrested a bootlegger and recovered 100 bottles of smuggled liquor in Kallar chowk area of Rajouri. The accused was identified as Anil Sharma, son of Kali Dass, resident of Sassalkote in Doongi area of Rajouri.
Police said a team headed by Chatyar Chingus Police Post Incharge, SI Ashish Chowdhary under supervision of SHO Rajouri Sameer Jillani, while routine frisking of vehicles, at Kallar when a vehicle bearing registration No JK11B 6908 was intercepted. During checking, 100 bottles of smuggled liquor were recovered from vehicle. A case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Rajouri Police Station.
