JAMMU: As a sequel to the ongoing celebrations of Rashtriya Ekta Saptah till 6th November recalling Sardar Patel’s contributions to the unification on India and strengthening co-operative movement, a floral tribute was paid to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at MAM College Jammu by NSS and NCC Wings of the college. Garlanding of Patel’s portrait was followed by administering Ekta Pledge. In the pledge taking ceremony, Principal of the College, Prof. Romesh Chander, faculty members as well as NSS volunteers and NCC cadets pledged to preserve the unity, integrity and security of the country. They also resolved to make their contributions to ensure internal security of the country.Prominent among the organizers were Dr. Sangeeta Sudan, Dr. Mazammal Hus-sain, Dr. R.K Gupta, Prof. Savita Jamwal, Dr. Banpreet Kour, Dr. Shalini Sharma and Dr. I.A Khan.
