POONCH: Makhdoomi, Haveli Chaos, Budgam Warrior and Lamberi Panthers entered in the semifinals of the ongoing Shaheed DySP Manjit Singh Memorial Volleyball League, organized under the aegis of Volleyball Association of Jammu and Kashmir at Government Degree College grounds, here.
In today’s matches, Makhdoomi Club beat Poonch Thunders by 3-1 (31-29, 25-12, 22-25, 25-20); Lamberi Panthers beat Gazi Worriers Anantnag by 3-0 (25-20, 25-19, 27-25); Budgam Warrior beat Spiker Qazkund by 3-1 (25-18, 20-25, 25-15, 25-21),
Young international spikers from J&K Saqlain Tariq, Mannat Choudhary, Mahir Wani and Haroon Rashid remained star attraction of the day. The organising committee honoured the owners of Spiker Qazkund, Munir Itto.
The technical panel comprised Intizar Husain, Shabir Ahmed, Shafqit Hussain Shah, Akhlaq Ahmed, Nareej Sharma, Waseem Choudhary and DK Sharma.
