Make all out efforts to eliminate terrorism from Pir Panjal Range: ADGP Jammu asks SSPs

RAJOURI: Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Jammu Zone, Mukesh Singh impressed upon all GOs of twin districts of Pir Panjal Range to make all out efforts in eliminating terrorism from the area.
ADGP Jammu Zone, Mukesh was chairing security review meeting during his visit to Rajouri, here on Thursday.
The meeting was attended by DIG RP Range Dr. Haseeb Mughal, SSP Rajouri, Amritpal Singh, SSP Poonch, Rohit Baskotra and other GOs of the Range.
At the outset, district SSPs Rajouri and Poonch briefed the chairing officer regarding the ongoing counter terror operations in their respective districts.
ADGP Jammu Zone stressed on developing a credible intelligence base in the area.
Special focus was laid on ensuring border security and maintaining close Liaison with other SFs.
ADGP Jammu Zone accompanied by DIG RP Range and SSP Rajouri also visited Romeo Force Hqrs Palma, Rajouri where he held a meeting with the GOC Romeo Force.
ADGP Jammu Zone Mukesh Singh along with DC Rajouri Vikas Kundal also visited District Drug De-addiction Centre Rajouri and interacted with the patients undergoing treatment at the centre.
He emphasised the need for regular counselling and medical check-ups to ensure that clients receive effective treatment. He also assured the staff of the centre of full support in their efforts to provide quality care to clients.
The ADGP discussed the challenges of drug addiction and strategies to address them during his visit. He emphasised the need to increase awareness about the harmful effects of drug addiction and to encourage youth to adopt healthy lifestyles. The ADGP also assured clients of the government’s support in their rehabilitation and recovery process. He encouraged clients not to hesitate to seek help if they are struggling with addiction.
