Maiden Dangal Competition held at village Chak Chimna

JAMMU: With the aim to channelize the energy of youth in constructive activities and to guide them to stay away from the menace of drug abuse, a maiden Dangal Competition was organized by Dangal Committee headed by Vinod Jangral as Chairman, in Village Chak Chimna of Tehsil Bishnah.
In all, 80 well-known Wrestlers of the Union Territory, including wrestlers from the adjoining states also, participated in the Dangal. Yudhvir Singh of Delhi won the title of Maiden Dangal Competition by trouncing Dilar Khan of Jammu in a keen contest witnessed by thousands of spectators of the area.
The Ex-MLA, Ashwani Sharma was the Chief Guest on the occasion while Sarpanch Vijay Singh Bogal was Guest of honour.
Sharma appreciated the efforts of the Dangal Committee, Village Chak Chimna for organizing such a event, which undoubtedly help local wrestlers to chisel their skill level and provide them an ample platform to show case their fitness and capability.
He also advised the youth of the area to stay away from the menace of drugs and participate in the development of the nation by using their energy in positive way and also abstain from anti-social activities.
An amount of Rs. 1.60 lakh were distributed among the wrestlers by the chief guest. He also wished them all the best in their future endeavors as well.

Manohar Lal, Shamsher Singh, Darshan Kumar, Rakesh Kumar, Sham Lal, Alam Husain, Sham Parkash, Dalip Kumar, Retd Insp Yashpal, Surinder Verma, Balwinder Kumar, Shamsher Yogi, Bal Krishan, Tilak Raj Yogi, Shammi Machine Wala, Kapil Dev, Ghara Ram, Tarsam Lal and Harban Lal Bittu.
