JAMMU: Mahant manjit Singh Ji of Dera Nagali Sahib Poonch was honoured by offering a Saropao by the Jathedars of Takhat Sri Patna Sahib Iqbal Singh Ji and Takhat Sri Kesgarh Sahib Giani Mal Singh Ji on 19th June, 2015 during celebration of 350th Foundation Day of Sri Anandpur Sahib. The foundation stone of Sri Anandpur Sahib was laid by Ninth Sikh Guru, Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji in 1665.
Mahant Manjit Singh Ji was given special invitation as head of the Sikh community of Jammu and Kashmir, by the President Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) Amritsar Jathedar Avtar Singh to participate in the Anandpur Sahib function in which besides Chief Minister of Punjab Parkash Singh Badal, Dy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal, Punjab Cabinet Ministers and MLAs, President Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee and President Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) Delhi Manjit Singh Greater Kailash, Yog Guru Baba Ramdev and religious heads of Hindu, Muslim and Christian communities, the Home Minsiter of India Rajnath Singh and BJP President Amit Shah also participated.
