UDHAMPUR: Residents of village Magani on Saturday came on the road and held protest outside the office of SSP Udhampur to show their resentment against the police for not arresting the accused involved in assault case.
Protest was organised against the police to arrest the accused who had assaulted three persons in their locality yesterday.
Sources said that three persons namely Nissar Hussain, Farooq Ahmad and Tariq Ahamd all residents of village Magani were assaulted by some local people over some financial dispute yesterday. All three injured were shifted to District Hospital Udhampur and family members of the victims also lodged FIR with Police Station Rehmbal. Protestors raised slogans against the police for not taking serious view of the issue. They appealed to the higher ups of the police to ensure arrest of accused involved in the assault.
