Jammu :To keep tab on the smooth functioning of the alliance govt in Jammu and Kashmir, BJP National General Secretary and in-charge of J&K Affairs Ram Madhav on Monday listened to the grievances of party leaders and directed the senior ministers to get their act together to deliver goods for the welfare of the people in keeping with the Agenda of Alliance.
The much awaited review meeting took place at time when the senior party leaders were fighting a bitter cold war and were not on talking terms with each other.
Madhav, currently on a two days visit to the State, on Monday first chaired core group meeting of BJP and later reviewed functioning of the State Government with party ministers and MLAs at State Guest House premises.
MOS PMO Dr Jitendra Singh and Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh attended the meeting along with other ministers and party legislators under the same roof.
During the meeting, the party legislators expressed serious concern over ignoring the interests of people of Jammu region and warned the party leader to take timely measures to implement Agenda of Alliance.
The issue of setting up AIIMS in Jammu also came up for discussion and the legislators apprised the central party leader about the sentiments of people of Jammu region. A group of legislators also apprised Ram Madhav about the behaviour of ministers in the government. “We are ignored by our ministers and PDP ministers are setting the agenda forcing the BJP counterparts to follow suit”, said legislators. The party MLA’s brought to light the issue of transfers and postings of officials during the meeting and informed Ram Madhav how BJP ministers have been sidelined by the PDP ministers even in the cabinet.
