LVD flays exorbitant toll at Ban

UDHAMPUR: Lok Vikas Dal State President Vikram Singh Slathia widely condemned the unjustified and hasty decision being taken by National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) to impose exorbitant toll tax from private cars at Ban Plaza instead of exempting cars at par with other parts of the country. NHAI instead of giving relief to the middle class people bent round up them in toll collection is quite unjustified.
Slathia alleged that many a times mussel men posted at toll plaza used to abusive language and misbehave with operators under the cover of police deployed there. Slathia shown great concern towards police higher ups to deploy policemen at toll Plaza, despite it being a absolutely privatised and police have no role to play at toll plaza around the clock. He appealed to DGP SP Vaid to personally look in the matter and roll back the already policemen deployed toll plaza.
He added that in many parts of the country private cars has been exempted from toll taxes and in this regard Union Minister of Road and Transport Nitin Gadkari already directed the authority to keep private cars at bay since authority have rich source of income from heavy commercial vehicles in double fold from their set target. He urged the NHAI to reconsider their wrong and anti people decision that to too high charge of toll tax from private cars shall no way be tolerated by pubic. Slathia appealed to the Deputy Chief Minster Dr Nirmal Singh being the representative of pubic to personally intervene in to the matter and took the serious cognizance of the issue.
