UDHAMPUR: State President Lok Vikas Dal (LVD) Vikram Singh Slathia urged the Govt. to setup a base camp for upcoming Amarnath Yatra in Udhampur.
Addressing the media persons, Slathia said that Govt. should setup Amarnath Yatra base camp at Udhampur adding that as Udhampur being centrally is very viable place for Yatra. Slathia appealed to the Govt. to allow Yatra to proceed bothway from Dhar Road and Jammu route in order to avoid decongestion by Jammu route.
He said keeping in view the problems being faced by the across state pilgrims, pilgrims coming out of state be allowed to move on Dhar road route so that pilgrims can go on smooth.
LVD made fervent appeal to Governor NN Vohra to loom out the matter personally of setting up base camp at Udhampur.
