Jammu: Northern Army Command Chief Lt Gen Devraj Anbu met Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti here on Friday and apprised of the security situation in the state.
The Chief Minister advised Lt Gen Anbu to ensure maximum relief to people by the army in the State.
This was General Anbu’s first meeting with the Chief Minister after taking charge of the Udhampur-based Northern Command on December 2 succeeding Lt Gen D.S Hooda. On Thursday, the General had also met Governor N.N Vohra to discuss internal security management in the wake of the rising militancy-related incidents in the State, especially the terrorist attack on an Army Camp at Nagrota.
