LSSF seeks ban on child begging

JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir Ladakh Samaj Sudhar Forum (LSSF) discussed various issues including child begging, hike in ration and electricity charges and the grievances of Migrant Supervisors, Anganwari Workers and Helpers in a meeting held here on Monday.
Forum Convenor, Jugal Kishore Gupta said it very unfortunate that the State Government has put the people of State in a great mental distress and frustration by enhancing the rates of ration and electricity.
The forum appealed to the government to withdraw the decision of price hike of ration and elec- tricity.
The Forum appealed the State Government, to implement the Division Bench Order and rehabilitate the beggars and impose ban on child begging.
The Forum also expressed concern over the migrants working in the Integrated Child Development Services as Supervisors, Anganwari workers and helpers are being deprived of their rights.
Gupta appealed to the government to keep the rights of migrants intact so that the migrants appointed under the project may not feel distress.
