JAMMU: On the occasion of World Blood Donor Day, Lords Inn Jammu, a unit of Grand Plaza Hotel Pvt. Ltd, organised blood donation camp inside the hotel with the active cooperation of ASCOMS Blood Bank and Drug Control Department J and K.
Staff and the guests of the hotel donated blood voluntarily to celebrate this day of utmost importance all across the globe.
Every year 14th June is observed as World Blood Donor Day, the birth anniversary of Karl Landsteiner, the founder of modern blood group systems. This year WHO released a theme 2017 ‘Give Blood, Give Now, Give Often’-do not wait for disaster.
This day was celebrated by all 26 hotels being managed by Lords Hotels & Resorts at the same time with the sole ambition of collecting enough units of blood to save as many as lives as possible.
Staff of Four A Resorts & Banquets, Birpur, Jammu too contributed in making this event a big success.
