JAMMU: Looks Unisex Salon, a well known name in makeup and hairstyling industry, has added another feather to its crown by winning Jammu’s most favourite salon; a voting contest conducted by Big 92.7 FM.
In this regard, an award function was organised in the premises of Big 92.7 FM at Narwal where the Chairperson of Looks Unisex Salon, Channi Himmat, Ritika Trehan and her team was felicitated by Programming Head 92.7 Big FM, Vikrant Sharma and jury members.
Looks proprietor Ritika Trehan had also won the Best Entrepreneur Award in 2016 given by Chamber of Commerce Delhi. Aspiring, vibrant, dynamic, dedicated and contemporary woman Ritika Trehan has received Business awards, one after the other, on numerous occasions. India Today Business Awards for best entrepreneur in the State was awarded to Ritika Trehan for her outstanding approach and contemporary business practices in the field of hospitality.
She has received Best Business Award for four times from the then Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal for her outstanding achievement as a successful business woman.
Names of Ritika Trehan and her husband Nirdosh Trehan, who are owners of Trehan Group of Companies were also figured in the book “Achievers of the North.”
Looks Unisex Salon at Hotel Ritz Manor, Channi Himmat was inaugurated by the Bollywood actress and Model Lisa Haydon in 2013 and in just a short span it has become a household name in beauty and styling industry in the northern region.
Ritika Trehan, Proprietor of the Salon, while talking to STATE TIMES, said that it’s an honour to get this award and thanked the people of Jammu to make Looks Unisex Salon as the most favourite one in the City of Temples.
“The Looks Unisex Salon by its quality and trendy style has established new standards in the makeup and hairstyling industry with the ever growing trends in the national and international market. Looks has a huge fan following of over ten thousand followers on social media. The happy and satisfied faces of clients are the biggest achievements of the salon,” said Ritika Trehan.
Looks Salon partnered the IIFA awards – 2009 as a hair styling partner and successfully initiated the process of starting a trend to bring the ramp hairstyling to the mass, said Ritika, adding “Looks Salon is number one in all the fields which include Hair Colours, treatments, EST makeup and facials in North India.”
Talking to STATE TIMES, Ritika gave a message to Jammu people and her team,” I am so grateful tonight for your support and the endorsement these awards represent. Top four Salons were chosen for Big FM award. People were then asked to vote for their favourite one to make it Jammu’s No 1. Also the jury members- Maansi Gupta Centre Director JD Institute and Vickrant Mahajan Model-cum-Actor rated all four of them as per their expertise. Public voting was done through Whatsapp and On-air Calls and the cumulative results were in favour of the Looks Unisex Salon.
92.7 Big FM has declared the results of the latest category of the ongoing grand awards which are meant to be ‘For the City, By the City’- Big Jammu Pride Awards.
Syed Mujtaba Ali Jaffery, Cluster Head Big 92.7 FM J&K and Punjab expressed his gratitude to the Jury members and all the participating Salon of Jammu who really took this challenge in a healthy way.
Also present on the occasion was team of Big 92.7 FM along with RJ Sarang, RJ Juhie and RJ Manas.
