Lok Adalat settles 42 cases

SAMBA: A Lok Adalat was held on Saturday under the chairmanship of M.L Manhas, Chairman District Legal Services Authority Samba.
The first Bench was headed by Chairman DLSA Samba and assisted by Advocate S.K Khanmotra and Retainer Lawyer Deepak Sharma to deal with per-litigation of Bank Cases. The Bench took up 110 cases, out of which 42 cases were settled with Rs 27,57,500 as settled amount.
The second Bench was headed by Sub Judge/ Chief Judicial Magistrate Deepak Sethi and assisted by retainer lawyers Mohinder Singh Charak and Renu Bala also dealt with recovery suits at District Court complex. This Bench took up 22 cases and settled one case u/s 138 N.I Act.
